MEN OF DESTINY
HYMN
1.Give (our men) us o Lord thine
unction
Anoint (them) us for thy work
Arise and set (them) us in
motion
O Lord the man of war
2.Baptize (them) us Lord, with
thy fire
And set out souls aflame
To burn and shine for thy cause,
Revive Your zeal in (them) us.
3.Refine (them) us Lord and
cleanse (them) us
Clothe (them) us in holiness
Transform (their) our thoughts
and nature
Till (they) we Your glory show
4.New hearts, more love, more
passion
For souls in Satan's train
With hook or net use (them) us
still
Make (them) us fishers of men.
5.Not gold, not power, nor
knowledge
Will Thy heaven unlock
But prayer and faith and unity
Will bring the latter rain.
6.With tears and groans and
fasting
O Lord help (them) us to pray
Travailing as in birth for souls
Till You revive the Church
Heb 1:9 You love what is right
and hate what is wrong. That is why God, your God, has
chosen you and has given you the joy of an honor far
greater than he gave to your companions.”
Ps 86:11 “Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and I will obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion.”
25:4 “Let me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. 5 Guide me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long.”
When we are talking about “Men of
Destiny”, we are talking about men full of His power, wisdom, of God’s
character, men that have been to the
Calvary, working, have their move and being in the image of Christ, we talking of
God’s generals.
We have couple of them in the
bible and even in this present world whether
dead or alive, their legacies are evergreen.
Zacchaeus – Lk 19:3-4 “He wanted to see who Jesus was. There were many others who wanted to see Jesus too. Zacchaeus was too short to see above the people. 4 So he ran to a place where he knew Jesus would come. Then he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him.”.
He sought the Lord against all
odds
Ps 42: 1-2 “As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God. 2 I thirst for God, the living God. Where can I find him to come and stand before him?”
Jer 29:13 “Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
